How to Read a SciFiStories Story on Android
To read a SciFiStories story on an Android phone or tablet, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and open the file in Google Play Books or another EPUB reader. The downloaded file remains available when you are offline.
What you need
Before you start, you will need:
- A link to the story on scifistories.com
- A SciFiStories account
- An Android phone or tablet
- An app that opens EPUB files

Step 1: Download the SciFiStories story
Open the SciFiStories downloader in your Android browser.
Paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader will recognize it as a SciFiStories link. You must sign in with your SciFiStories account before downloading from this site.
Your account credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested. WP Downloader can access only material that your account is already allowed to read. It does not bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions.
Choose whether to include the story’s images, then select EPUB. EPUB downloads are free for everyone and can be opened by the Android reading apps covered below.
You can also download a PDF after signing in with a free Discord account. EPUB works with both Google Play Books and Moon+ Reader.

Step 2: Open the EPUB on Android
Google Play Books and Moon+ Reader can both open the downloaded EPUB.
Read with Google Play Books
Google Play Books accepts DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. Once uploaded, a book can be read on Android, on the Play Books website, or on an iPhone or iPad.
You can upload the EPUB from the Google Play Books Android app and then open it from your library.
You can also use the Play Books website to upload the file from your computer or Google Drive. It will then appear in Play Books on your Android device. Google’s upload size limit may prevent very large files from being added.
Read with Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files directly on Android. Open the downloaded SciFiStories EPUB in the app to begin reading.
The app also has a built-in text-to-speech mode that can read the story aloud.
Listen with Android text to speech
Android’s Select to Speak feature can read items on the screen aloud. Turn it on by opening Settings, choosing Accessibility, and enabling Select to Speak.
You can also read an EPUB aloud with:

Both options use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device. The available voices determine how natural the narration sounds.
Download updated chapters
WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already have. When a SciFiStories story is updated, return to the SciFiStories downloader, paste the same link, and download the story again.
The new EPUB will include the chapters available at the time of that download.
