How to Read SquidgeWorld Stories in Apple Books

To read a SquidgeWorld Archive story in Apple Books, download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and import the file on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Apple Books will add it to your Library.

Download a SquidgeWorld story as an EPUB

WP Downloader is a free web tool and does not require an installation. For SquidgeWorld Archive, it downloads complete stories rather than individual chapters or lists.

Find the story on squidgeworld.org. Its address should look like this:

Copy the full story link and follow these steps:

1. Open the SquidgeWorld story downloader.
2. Paste the story link into the box.
3. Choose EPUB as the output format.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Download the EPUB file.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, but that format requires a free Discord sign-in. Both formats open in Apple Books, though EPUB is usually better suited to reading a story as a book.

You do not need to sign in to SquidgeWorld Archive for public stories. Signing in with your account lets WP Downloader fetch members-only stories that your account can read. Your credentials are used only to fetch the requested story. WP Downloader cannot bypass paywalls, locked content, age restrictions, or other account restrictions.

Open the story in Apple Books on iPhone or iPad

After downloading the EPUB, open it from Safari’s downloads or the Files app and share it to Apple Books.

From Safari’s downloads

1. Open Safari’s downloads.
2. Tap the downloaded EPUB.
3. Open the Share menu.
4. Choose Books.

Apple Books will import the file and add it to your Library. Tap the book there to start reading.

From the Files app

If you saved the EPUB in Files or cannot find it in Safari’s downloads:

1. Open the Files app.
2. Find the folder containing the EPUB.
3. Tap the file, or open its Share menu.
4. Choose Books.

The imported story will appear in your Apple Books Library.

Open the story in Apple Books on a Mac

You can import the EPUB by dragging it into Apple Books:

1. Find the EPUB in Finder.
2. Open the Books app.
3. Drag the EPUB into the Books window.
4. Find the imported story in your Library.

You can also open Books, choose File, and then choose Add to Library. Select the downloaded EPUB to add it to your Library.

Apple Books opens PDF files too. You can import a PDF in the same way, but creating one with WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in. EPUB is available without signing in to Discord.

Download updated chapters

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When a SquidgeWorld story is updated, paste its link into the downloader again and download a new copy of the complete story. You can then import the new file into Apple Books.
