Read StoryRoom Stories on a tolino eReader
To read a StoryRoom story on a tolino eReader, download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to the Books folder on your tolino. WP Downloader is free, runs in your browser, and requires no installation.
What you need
You will need:
- The StoryRoom story link
- An account on StoryRoom or Fine Stories
- A computer
- Your tolino eReader and its USB-C cable
A StoryRoom link usually looks like this:

Step 1: Download the StoryRoom story as an EPUB
Open the StoryRoom Downloader in your browser. You can also paste the story link into the box on the WP Downloader home page, which will detect the site automatically.
Paste the full StoryRoom story URL into the box and sign in with your account for that site. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested.
The downloader can access only material your account can already read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
Select EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works on tolino eReaders. You can also include the story’s images.
Download the EPUB and save it somewhere easy to find on your computer, such as the Downloads folder.
WP Downloader downloads the complete StoryRoom story. It does not support individual chapters or reading lists for this site. If the author adds more chapters, download the story again to create a new EPUB. The downloader cannot update an EPUB you already have.
StoryRoom support, along with support for the other fiction archives available through WP Downloader, was ported from the open-source fanfiction downloader FanFicFare.

Step 2: Connect your tolino to your computer
Connect your tolino eReader to the computer with its USB-C cable. Wait for the computer to detect it before moving the EPUB.
The tolino vision 6, shine 4, and epos 3 use MTP for USB transfers. Your computer may show one of these models as a connected device instead of a removable drive. Open the device in your file browser to see its folders.
If the tolino does not appear immediately, leave it connected for a moment and check the available devices again.
Step 3: Copy the EPUB into the Books folder
Open the tolino’s storage and find the Books folder. Locate the StoryRoom EPUB on your computer and copy it into that folder.
Wait for the file to finish copying. Do not unplug the USB-C cable while the transfer is in progress.
Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the tolino from your computer.
Step 4: Open the story on your tolino
Find the transferred EPUB on your tolino and open it. The complete StoryRoom story is now available to read offline on the eReader.
Update an ongoing story
The EPUB contains the version of the story that was available when you downloaded it. New chapters will not appear in the file automatically.
To get the latest version, return to the StoryRoom Downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new EPUB. Copy the new file to the Books folder on your tolino using the same USB process.
