Read Syosetu Stories on a reMarkable Tablet
WP Downloader can save a Shousetsuka ni Narou story as an EPUB or PDF for your reMarkable tablet. It is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Download the Syosetu story
Find the story on syosetu.com. WP Downloader supports story links from ncode.syosetu.com and novel18.syosetu.com. A typical link looks like this:
https://ncode.syosetu.com/n1234ab/Copy the story URL and open the Syosetu Downloader. Paste the link into the box. WP Downloader will detect the site and download the whole story.
The stories are in Japanese, and you do not need to sign in. Downloads are available in two formats:
- EPUB is free for everyone and works on reMarkable tablets.
- PDF also works on reMarkable, but it requires a free Discord sign-in.
You can choose whether to include the story’s images. Save the finished file somewhere easy to find on your phone or computer.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. It also cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from Syosetu.

Choose EPUB or PDF
Both formats work on reMarkable tablets. EPUB is available without signing in to WP Downloader. Choose PDF if you prefer that format and are willing to sign in with Discord.
reMarkable accepts EPUB and PDF files up to 100 MB. Images can make the file larger, so check its size if the story is long or contains many images.
Transfer the story to your reMarkable
You can transfer the EPUB or PDF with the reMarkable desktop or mobile app, through a web browser, or over a USB cable.
Use the desktop or mobile app
Open the reMarkable app on your computer or phone and add the EPUB or PDF from WP Downloader. Once the transfer finishes, open the file on your tablet.
Upload it from a web browser
You can also upload the saved EPUB or PDF through a web browser, then open it on your reMarkable.
Upload the downloaded file itself, not the original syosetu.com link.
Transfer it over USB
Connect your reMarkable to your computer with a USB cable. Turn on the USB web interface in the tablet’s storage settings, then open this address in a browser on the connected computer:

Get new chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When the author publishes more chapters, paste the story link into the Syosetu Downloader again and download a new copy. Transfer the new file to your reMarkable in the same way.
