Read Tenhawk Presents Stories in KOReader

To read a Tenhawk Presents story in KOReader, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your device. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

What you need

You will need:

• A link to a Tenhawk Presents story
• WP Downloader’s Tenhawk Presents downloader
• A device running KOReader
• A way to copy the EPUB to that device

KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles. Installing KOReader on a Kobo or Kindle is a separate, unofficial process. This guide assumes that KOReader is already installed.

Step 1: Copy the Tenhawk Presents story link

Open the story on t.evancurrie.ca and copy its full address from your browser. A story URL looks like this:

Copy the story page link instead of a chapter link. WP Downloader downloads the whole story from Tenhawk Presents and does not support single chapters or lists from this archive.

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader

Open the Tenhawk Presents downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader will detect the site and prepare the story.

Choose EPUB to use the book in KOReader. EPUB downloads are free for everyone. KOReader can also open PDF files, but downloading a PDF from WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in.

You can choose whether to include the story’s images in the book.

You do not need to sign in to Tenhawk Presents for public stories. If you have an account on the site, signing in lets WP Downloader reach members-only stories that your account can read. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested.

WP Downloader can only retrieve material your account is allowed to read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your device

After downloading the EPUB, copy it to the device where you use KOReader.

Kobo or PocketBook

Connect the e-reader to your computer with USB and copy the EPUB to the device as usual. Place it in the folder where you normally keep books, then disconnect the device.

Transfer the EPUB to your Android device using your usual file-transfer method. Make a note of the folder where you put it so you can find it in KOReader.

Jailbroken Kindle

KOReader runs only on Kindles that have been jailbroken and set up to use it. Copy the EPUB to the Kindle as usual, then find it through KOReader’s file browser. Jailbreaking a Kindle and installing KOReader are unofficial processes and are outside this guide.

Step 4: Open the story in KOReader

Open KOReader and use its file browser to find the folder containing the EPUB. Select the file to start reading.

You can follow the same steps with a PDF if you downloaded that format.

Getting newly added chapters

WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB already on your device. When a Tenhawk Presents story gets new chapters, paste its link into the downloader again and download a new copy.

Copy the new EPUB to your device and open it in KOReader. If you keep both copies in the same folder, make sure you can tell them apart.
