PDF keeps a fixed page layout. Google Play Books accepts DRM-free EPUB and PDF files, so you can use either format with it.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
Read the EPUB in Google Play Books
Google Play Books lets you upload DRM-free EPUB and PDF files and read them on Android, the web, or an iPhone or iPad.
On your Android device:
- Download the story from WP Downloader as an EPUB.
- Open the Google Play Books app.
- Upload the EPUB from your device.
- Open the uploaded book and start reading.
You can also upload the file from your computer through the Google Play Books website, either from the computer itself or from Google Drive. The uploaded book will then be available in Google Play Books on your Android phone or tablet.
Very large EPUB or PDF files can reach Google’s upload size limit. If that happens, downloading the story again without its images may give you a smaller file.
Read the EPUB in Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files on Android. After downloading the story, open or import the EPUB in the app.
Moon+ Reader also has a built-in text-to-speech mode if you want to hear the story read aloud.
Listen with Android accessibility tools
Android’s Select to Speak feature reads items displayed on the screen. Turn it on under Settings, then Accessibility, and tap the items you want to hear.
You can also use an EPUB reader with a read-aloud option:
- Moon+ Reader has a built-in text-to-speech mode.
- @Voice Aloud Reader can read EPUB files aloud.
Both options use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device, so the narration will sound different depending on the voices available in your Android settings.
Download newly published chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. When a Tenhawk Presents story gets new chapters, return to the downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy.
