Read TONFA Stories in Google Play Books
To read a story from TONFA: The Original Naruto Fanfic Archive in Google Play Books, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and upload the file to Play Books. You can then read it in a web browser or on an Android, iPhone, or iPad. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Download a TONFA story with WP Downloader
Find the story on narutofic.org and copy its URL. A TONFA story link looks like this:
http://www.narutofic.org/viewstory.php?sid=1234 Open the TONFA downloader, paste the story link into the box, and wait for WP Downloader to detect the site. Choose EPUB and select whether to include the story’s images.
EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, though that requires a free Discord sign-in. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
WP Downloader downloads the whole story from TONFA. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from this site. If the author publishes more chapters, download the story again to make a new EPUB. An existing EPUB will not update automatically.
For more help with the story link, see the TONFA download guide.
Access members-only TONFA stories
You do not need to sign in to download public stories. You can sign in with your TONFA account to download members-only stories that the account can already read.
WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
TONFA support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader released under the Apache-2.0 license.
Upload the EPUB to Google Play Books
Google Play Books accepts personal DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. After downloading the TONFA story, upload it from a computer or an Android device.
Upload from a computer
Open the Google Play Books website and choose its upload option. Select the EPUB from your computer or from Google Drive.
When the upload is complete, open the story from your Play Books library. You can read it in your web browser or in the Play Books mobile app.
Upload from an Android phone or tablet
If you downloaded the EPUB to an Android device, use the Google Play Books app to upload it. Select the downloaded file and add it to Play Books.
Once the story appears in your library, open it like any other uploaded book.
Read on an iPhone or iPad
First upload the EPUB through the Google Play Books website on a computer. You can then open the uploaded story in the Play Books app on your iPhone or iPad.
If the story does not appear, check that the app is using the same account that you used for the upload.
Choose between EPUB and PDF
EPUB is a straightforward choice for a text-based fanfiction story. It works with Google Play Books and does not require the Discord sign-in needed to create a PDF with WP Downloader.
You can use PDF if you prefer it. Google Play Books accepts DRM-free uploads in both formats, although very large files may reach Google’s upload size limit.
Keep the downloaded file somewhere easy to find. You will need to download the story again if you want a new copy after more chapters are published.
