How to Read Walking the Plank Stories in the Kindle App

You can read a Walking the Plank story in the Kindle app by downloading the whole story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and sending the file to your Kindle library. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Step 1: Copy the story link

Open the story on walkingtheplank.org and copy the URL from your browser’s address bar. It should look like this:

Copy the main story page instead of an individual chapter. WP Downloader downloads whole Walking the Plank stories, not single chapters or lists.

You do not need to sign in to Walking the Plank.

Step 2: Download the EPUB

Open the Walking the Plank downloader and follow these steps:

Step 3: Add the EPUB to your Kindle library

You can send the downloaded EPUB through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service in any of these ways:

• Email it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.
• Send it with the Send to Kindle app.
• Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web.

Send to Kindle accepts EPUB and PDF files. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library, where it is available on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app.

Files sent by email must come from an approved sender address. Amazon will not deliver a file sent from an unapproved address to your Kindle address.

Step 4: Open the story in the Kindle app

After Amazon converts the EPUB, the story will appear in your Kindle library. Open the Kindle app on your phone or tablet, find the story, and select it to start reading.

The converted book can also appear on Kindle e-readers connected to the same Kindle library.

If you cannot find the story, check that you sent it to the library used by the Kindle app on your device. If you sent it by email, make sure the sender address is approved.

Downloading new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the author publishes more chapters, return to the Walking the Plank downloader and download the whole story again.
