How to Read Wattpad Stories in Google Play Books
To read a Wattpad story in Google Play Books, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and upload the file to your Play Books library. You can then read it on the web, an Android device, an iPhone, or an iPad.
What you need
Find the Wattpad page for the story you want to read. Its link will usually look like this:

Step 1: Download the Wattpad story
Open the Wattpad downloader, paste the story link into the box, and let WP Downloader detect that it comes from Wattpad.
Choose a file format:
- EPUB is available without signing in.
- PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
You can choose to include the story’s images. Start the download, then save the finished file somewhere easy to find.
You do not need a Wattpad account for public stories. If you sign in with Wattpad, you can download paid stories your account owns and stories from your library or archive. Your credentials are used only to fetch the content you request, and WP Downloader can download only what your account can already read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Step 2: Upload the book from a computer
Open the Google Play Books website and choose its upload option. Select the EPUB or PDF from your computer, or choose it from Google Drive. Wait for the upload to finish before opening the book.
Very large files can reach Google’s upload size limit. If that happens, you can download and upload a single Wattpad part instead of the whole story.
Step 3: Upload from an Android device
Google Play Books also accepts uploads through its Android app.
Wait for the EPUB or PDF to finish downloading to your device. Open Google Play Books, choose its upload option, and select the file. When the upload finishes, the story will appear in your Play Books library.
Step 4: Read the story
Once the book is in your Google Play Books library, you can read it on:
- The web
- An Android phone or tablet
- An iPhone
- An iPad
Getting new Wattpad chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When the author publishes another chapter, return to the Wattpad downloader and download the story again.
Upload the new file to Google Play Books as a separate book, then use that copy to continue reading.
