How to Read Wattpad Stories in KOReader

To read a Wattpad story in KOReader, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader, copy the file to your device, and open it from KOReader’s file browser. KOReader also opens PDF files, but EPUB is usually the better fit for an ebook.

Download the Wattpad story as an EPUB

WP Downloader is a free web tool that does not require installation. Go to the Wattpad downloader and paste your story link into the box.

A Wattpad story URL looks like this:

https://www.wattpad.com/story/123456789-story-title

To create the EPUB:

1. Copy the Wattpad story URL.
2. Paste it into WP Downloader.
3. Wait for the tool to detect that the link is from Wattpad.
4. Choose EPUB as the output format.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the EPUB to your phone or computer.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in.

You do not need an account to download a public Wattpad story. If you sign in with your Wattpad account, you can download paid stories that your account owns and stories from your Wattpad library or archive. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you request. It can download only material your account is allowed to read and does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

You can download a whole Wattpad story, one part, or an entire reading list. Download the whole story if you want it as a single KOReader book.

When new chapters are published, download the story again. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already created.

Copy the EPUB to your device

KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles.

Move the EPUB to your device in the usual way:

• On a Kobo or PocketBook, connect the reader to your computer with USB and copy the EPUB to the device.
• On an Android phone or tablet, transfer or save the EPUB in a folder you can open from KOReader.
• On a jailbroken Kindle, copy the EPUB to the Kindle after installing KOReader.

Installing KOReader on a Kobo or Kindle is a separate, unofficial process. The steps here assume that KOReader is already running on your device and do not cover installation or jailbreaking.

Open the story in KOReader

After copying the EPUB:

1. Open KOReader.
2. Find the folder containing the EPUB in its file browser.
3. Select the file.
4. Read the story like any other EPUB.

If the story is missing from the file browser, make sure you are viewing the folder where you copied it. Also check that the downloaded file is an EPUB or PDF, the two formats available from WP Downloader.

Listen to the story as an audiobook

After you paste a single Wattpad story link into WP Downloader, a “Listen to audiobook” button appears. The button opens Audora, WP Downloader’s sister service, which turns the story into an audiobook.

This option is available only for single Wattpad stories. It does not appear for reading lists or stories from other sites.
