How to Read Wattpad Stories in the Kindle App
To read a Wattpad story in the Kindle app, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and send the file to Amazon. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Step 1: Copy the Wattpad story link
Open the Wattpad story and copy its URL. A story link looks like this:

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the Wattpad downloader and paste the link into the box. WP Downloader detects that the link is from Wattpad automatically.
Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and Amazon accepts EPUB files through Send to Kindle. You can choose whether to include the story’s images.
You do not need an account for public Wattpad stories. Sign in with your Wattpad account to download a paid story your account owns or a story from your library or archive. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the content you request. It can download only the content your account is allowed to read and does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
Save the finished EPUB to your phone or tablet. If the story gets new chapters, download it again. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an existing EPUB.
Step 3: Send the EPUB to your Kindle library
Amazon converts EPUB files submitted through Send to Kindle and adds the converted books to your Kindle library. You can submit the file in any of these ways:
- Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web.
- Share or upload it through the Send to Kindle app.
- Email it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.
Files sent by email must come from an approved sender address.
WP Downloader can also create a PDF, but PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. It does not create MOBI or AZW3 files, and Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI.

Step 4: Open the story in the Kindle app
After Amazon converts the EPUB, the story appears in your Kindle library. Open the Kindle app on your phone or tablet, find the book, and start reading.
The converted book also appears in the Kindle library on Kindle e-readers, so you can access it from the app or a Kindle device.
Choose the Wattpad link you need
WP Downloader accepts several kinds of Wattpad links:
- Use a story link to download the whole story.
- Use a single-part link to download one chapter or part.
- Use a Wattpad reading-list link to download the list.
A whole-story EPUB keeps the complete story together in the Kindle app. If you want only one part, use its individual link.

Listen to the story instead
When you paste a single Wattpad story link into WP Downloader, a “Listen to audiobook” button appears. The button opens the story in Audora, WP Downloader’s sister service, which turns it into an audiobook.
The button is available only for single Wattpad stories. It does not appear for reading lists, individual parts, or stories from other supported sites.

Can the Kindle app open the downloaded EPUB directly?
First send the EPUB through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Amazon converts the file and adds the book to your Kindle library, where you can open it in the app.
Do I need a Wattpad account?
Public stories do not require an account. Sign in to download paid stories your account owns or stories from your Wattpad library or archive.
Should I download EPUB or MOBI?
Download EPUB. Send to Kindle accepts EPUB files but no longer accepts MOBI. WP Downloader does not create MOBI files.
Can I include the story’s images?
Yes. WP Downloader has an option to include the story’s images in the download.
Will my Kindle copy receive new Wattpad chapters automatically?
No. WP Downloader cannot update an existing EPUB. To get the latest available chapters, download the story again and send the new file to Kindle.
