Send a MuggleNet Fan Fiction Story to Kindle

First, use WP Downloader to save the complete MuggleNet Fan Fiction story as an EPUB. You can then submit the file through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library, where you can read it on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.

What you need

You will need:

  • The URL of the MuggleNet Fan Fiction story
  • WP Downloader, a free web tool that requires no installation
  • Access to Amazon’s Send to Kindle service
  • A Kindle e-reader or the Kindle app

A MuggleNet Fan Fiction URL normally looks like this:

http://www.mugglenetfanfiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=1234

WP Downloader creates EPUB files for free. It can also create a PDF after you sign in with Discord for free. EPUB is the simplest choice for this guide because Amazon’s Send to Kindle accepts EPUB files.

Step 1: Download the MuggleNet story as an EPUB

Open the MuggleNet story downloader and follow these steps:

  1. Copy the story URL from mugglenetfanfiction.com.
  2. Paste the URL into WP Downloader.
  3. Choose EPUB as the output format.
  4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
  5. Download the EPUB to your phone, tablet, or computer.

WP Downloader downloads complete MuggleNet Fan Fiction stories. It does not download individual chapters or lists from this archive.

You do not need to sign in for public stories. If a story is available only to members, you can sign in with your MuggleNet Fan Fiction account. WP Downloader can then access stories that your account is allowed to read. It cannot bypass account restrictions, locked content, or age restrictions. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.

For more detailed instructions, see how to download MuggleNet fanfiction.

Step 2: Send the EPUB to Kindle

After saving the EPUB, you can send it to Amazon in one of three ways:

  • Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web.
  • Add it through the Send to Kindle app.
  • Email it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.

Use whichever method is most convenient on the device where you downloaded the file. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library. You can then open it on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.

See the Send to Kindle guide for instructions covering each method.

If you send the file by email

Attach the EPUB to an email and send it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address. You must send the email from an approved sender address. Amazon will not accept the file if the sender address has not been approved.

There is no need to convert the EPUB to MOBI. Send to Kindle accepts EPUB files and no longer accepts MOBI files.

If you use the app or web uploader

Select the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader and submit it through Send to Kindle. The story will appear in your Kindle library after Amazon converts it.

The file’s location depends on the phone, tablet, or computer you used. Check the device’s downloads or files area for the EPUB created by WP Downloader.

Reading the story later

Once the book appears in your Kindle library, open it on your Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.

If the author adds more chapters later, WP Downloader cannot update the EPUB already in your library. Download the complete story again and send the new EPUB to Kindle.

If you use another e-reader, you can learn how to read MuggleNet stories on Kobo. The guide to reading MuggleNet stories offline covers other options.

WP Downloader’s support for MuggleNet Fan Fiction and other archive sites was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0.
