How to Track Dreame Stories on Goodreads or The StoryGraph
Start by saving the Dreame story as an EPUB. You can then search for it on Goodreads or The StoryGraph. If neither service has the story, the EPUB can become part of your own reading list in calibre.
Download the Dreame story
WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. For Dreame, it downloads whole stories rather than individual chapters or lists.
Open the Dreame downloader.
Copy the story address from dreame.com. It should look like this:
https://www.dreame.com/story/3118751488-moonlight-in-chainsPaste the link into WP Downloader.
Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone. PDF is also available after a free Discord sign-in.
Turn on the image option if you want to include the story’s images.
Download the file to your phone or computer.
You do not need to sign in for Dreame. WP Downloader only downloads content you can already read, so paid or locked chapters are left out unless your account can access them. See how to download Dreame stories for a longer walkthrough.
Download the whole story again when new chapters appear. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already saved.
Track the story on Goodreads
Search Goodreads for the story’s title and author. Most fanfiction and web serials are missing from its database, so you may not find a match.
If the story is listed, check that the title and author are correct before using the entry to track your reading. This is especially helpful when several works have similar names.
If it is missing, an eligible Goodreads member can add it:
- Open Goodreads in a browser.
- Go to
goodreads.com/book/new. - Enter the story’s title and author. These are the minimum required details.
Your Goodreads account needs a verified email address and cannot be brand new. Goodreads librarians handle later edits and merge duplicate listings, so check for an existing entry before adding one.
The EPUB remains separate from Goodreads. Downloading the file does not create or update a Goodreads listing.
Check The StoryGraph
Search The StoryGraph using the story’s title and author. The work may be missing from its database, particularly if it is a web serial rather than a published book.
If you find an entry, confirm that its title and author match before using it to track your reading.
The StoryGraph does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books. If the story is absent, check its current help pages for guidance.
Downloading an EPUB does not create or update a StoryGraph listing. The file is your offline copy, while The StoryGraph keeps a separate reading record.
Keep your own reading list in calibre
When neither service has the story, you can add its EPUB to calibre. calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
To add a Dreame story:
- Download the story from WP Downloader as an EPUB.
- Open calibre and select Add books.
- Choose the EPUB you downloaded.
- Edit the metadata or cover if needed.
- Repeat these steps for any other stories you want to keep.
calibre can convert EPUB files to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. WP Downloader does not produce MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. You can also read the story in calibre’s e-book viewer, use its Read aloud feature, or send it to a connected e-reader over USB.
For instructions for a specific device, see how to send Dreame stories to Kindle or read Dreame stories on Kobo.
