Track SquidgeWorld Stories on Goodreads or The StoryGraph

You can track SquidgeWorld Archive stories on Goodreads or The StoryGraph, although many stories will not be in either database. Downloading an EPUB with WP Downloader gives you an offline copy and keeps the story details close at hand. You can then search for the work on your preferred service or manage it in a personal calibre library.

Download the SquidgeWorld story

WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Use the SquidgeWorld downloader or paste the story link into the box on the WP Downloader home page. A SquidgeWorld work link looks like this:

1. Copy the URL of its main work page.
2. Open the SquidgeWorld downloader.
3. Paste the URL into the box.
4. Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone, or PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the file to your device.

WP Downloader downloads the whole story from SquidgeWorld Archive. It cannot download a single chapter or a list from this site.

Public stories do not require a SquidgeWorld account. You can sign in with your SquidgeWorld account to download members-only stories that the account can read. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the requested story and does not bypass access restrictions.

Track the story on Goodreads

Most fanfiction and web serials are not in the Goodreads database. Search for the work by title and author before adding a new record.

If you find it, add it to the Goodreads shelf that matches your reading status.

If it is missing, an eligible Goodreads account can add it manually at goodreads.com/book/new. The account must have a verified email and cannot be brand new. You will need at least the story’s title and author.

Keep the downloaded EPUB or SquidgeWorld work page open so you can copy those details accurately. Check the search results carefully before creating a record because Goodreads librarians handle later edits and merge duplicate records.

After the record is available, you can add it to a shelf and update your reading status when you start or finish the story.

Track the story on The StoryGraph

Search The StoryGraph for the story by title and author. Its database may not include the work, especially if it is fanfiction or a web serial.

The StoryGraph does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books. If the story is missing, check its current help pages instead of relying on unofficial instructions that may no longer apply.

You can keep the EPUB on your phone, computer, or e-reader and use The StoryGraph for the works it recognizes.

Keep a reading list in calibre

If neither service lists the story, you can manage it yourself with calibre. calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS and Linux.

After downloading the EPUB:

1. Open calibre on your computer.
2. Select “Add books” and choose the EPUB.
3. Review or edit the title, author, cover and other metadata.
4. Read it in calibre’s e-book viewer or send it to a connected e-reader over USB.

The e-book viewer includes a “Read aloud” feature for listening on your computer. calibre can also convert an EPUB to AZW3, MOBI or PDF. WP Downloader itself creates EPUB and PDF files, not AZW3, MOBI or TXT.

Replace your copy when a story is updated

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When a SquidgeWorld story is updated, paste its work link into WP Downloader and download the story again.

The Goodreads or The StoryGraph record can continue to track your reading, while the new download becomes your current copy. If you use calibre, add the new file and organize it in your library.
