How to Track Stories of Arda Reading on Goodreads or StoryGraph

Most Stories of Arda stories will not already have an entry on Goodreads or The StoryGraph. You can download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, then look for an existing entry, add one to Goodreads if your account is eligible, or keep your own reading list in calibre.

Download the Stories of Arda story

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and you do not need to install anything or sign in to download English-language stories from storiesofarda.com.

1. Open the Stories of Arda downloader.
2. Copy the story’s chapter list URL from Stories of Arda. It should look like this:

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone. You can also choose PDF after signing in with a free Discord account.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the finished file.

WP Downloader downloads complete stories from Stories of Arda. It does not download individual chapters or lists of stories from this archive. If the author adds more chapters later, download the story again. WP Downloader cannot update an existing EPUB.

Track the story on Goodreads

Search Goodreads for the story first. If you find an entry with the correct title and author, you can use it to record your reading.

Most fanfiction and web serials are missing from the Goodreads database. If you cannot find the story, an eligible Goodreads account can add it manually at goodreads.com/book/new. The account must have a verified email and cannot be brand new. You need to provide at least the title and author.

Use the title and author from the original Stories of Arda page. Goodreads librarians handle later edits and merge duplicate entries, so other people may change the listing after you create it.

Adding an entry to Goodreads does not upload the EPUB or give other readers access to the story. The entry only lets you record your reading on Goodreads.

Track the story on The StoryGraph

Search The StoryGraph and make sure the title and author match the Stories of Arda page before using an existing entry.

The story may not be in The StoryGraph’s database. The service does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books, so check its current help pages for guidance.

The downloaded EPUB and the tracking entry remain separate. WP Downloader creates the reading file, while The StoryGraph or Goodreads records your reading activity.

Organize the EPUB in calibre

You can also maintain your own reading list in calibre. It is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS and Linux.

After installing calibre:

1. Select Add books and choose the EPUB from WP Downloader.
2. Edit the story’s metadata or cover if you want.
3. Open it in calibre’s e-book viewer to read it on your computer.
4. Use the viewer’s Read aloud feature to listen to it.
5. Connect an e-reader over USB and send the book to the device.

calibre can convert an EPUB to formats such as AZW3, MOBI or PDF. WP Downloader does not create AZW3, MOBI or TXT files directly.

Keep the story easy to find

Save the original Stories of Arda link with the downloaded EPUB. Search your preferred tracking service by title and author, then use an existing entry if you find the correct one.

Eligible Goodreads members can add a missing entry manually. For The StoryGraph, check its help pages. You can use calibre to keep your own reading library if neither service suits you.
