How to Read AltHistory Stories on a tolino eReader

To read an AltHistory story on a tolino eReader, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file into the Books folder on your tolino. EPUB downloads are free, WP Downloader runs in your browser, and there is nothing to install.

What you need

Have these ready:

• The AltHistory thread you want to read
• A computer
• Your tolino eReader
• A USB-C cable

Download the AltHistory story as an EPUB

Open the AltHistory downloader in your browser. You do not need to sign in to download AltHistory stories.

1. Copy the URL of the AltHistory story thread.
2. Paste it into the box on WP Downloader.
3. Choose EPUB as the output format.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Start the download and save the EPUB to your computer.

Connect your tolino to the computer

Connect the tolino to your computer with its USB-C cable, then wait for the computer to detect it.

The tolino vision 6, shine 4, and epos 3 use MTP for USB transfers. Your computer may show one of these models as a connected device instead of a removable drive. You can still open the device and browse its folders.

If the tolino does not appear immediately, leave it connected while the computer recognizes it.

Copy the EPUB into the Books folder

Once the tolino appears on your computer:

1. Open the tolino device or drive.
2. Open the Books folder.
3. Find the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
4. Copy or move it into the Books folder.
5. Wait until the transfer finishes.

Do not unplug the eReader while the file is copying. Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the tolino from the computer.

Read the story offline

Open the EPUB on your tolino. Its threadmarked chapters are stored together in the book, so you can read them without reopening the AltHistory thread for each chapter.

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. When the author posts more threadmarked chapters, download the story again and transfer the new EPUB to your tolino.
