Read Dokuga Stories in Apple Books

To read a Dokuga story in Apple Books, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and add the file to Books on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download a Dokuga story as an EPUB

Find the story on dokuga.com. Its URL should look like this:

http://www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/1234/1

Copy the URL and open the Dokuga downloader. Paste the link into the box, and WP Downloader will detect the site.

Select EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and opens in Apple Books. You can also include the story’s images in the book.

WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from Dokuga. If the author adds chapters later, download the story again to make a new EPUB. WPD cannot update the copy already in your library.

You can download public stories without signing in. For members-only stories, sign in with your Dokuga account. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested, and it can access only content that your account can already read. It does not bypass members-only access, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Add the story to Apple Books on iPhone or iPad

You can open the downloaded EPUB from Safari or the Files app.

From Safari downloads

1. Open Safari’s downloads list.
2. Tap the downloaded EPUB file.
3. Tap the Share button.
4. Choose Books from the available apps.

Apple Books will import the EPUB into your Library. You can then open the story in the Books app.

From the Files app

If you saved the EPUB to Files or cannot find it in Safari’s downloads:

1. Open the Files app.
2. Go to the folder containing the EPUB.
3. Tap the file to open it.
4. Tap Share.
5. Choose Books.

The story will appear in your Apple Books Library after the import finishes, and you can read the downloaded copy offline.

Add the story to Apple Books on Mac

Download the EPUB to your Mac, then import it using either method below.

Drag the EPUB into Books

1. Open the Books app.
2. Find the downloaded EPUB in Finder.
3. Drag the file into the Books window.

Use Add to Library

1. Open the Books app.
2. Choose File, then Add to Library.
3. Select the downloaded EPUB.
4. Add it to Books.

The imported story will appear in your Library. You can follow the same process if you downloaded a PDF.

Get newly published chapters

WP Downloader creates the book from the version of the story available when you download it. Chapters published later are not added to an EPUB already in Apple Books.

To get the new chapters, return to the Dokuga downloader, paste the story link again, and download a fresh EPUB. Import the new file into Apple Books using the same steps.
