To read a Dokuga story on an Android phone or tablet, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and open the file in an Android reading app. The file remains available on your device for offline reading.
Download the Dokuga story with WP Downloader
WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install. Open the Dokuga downloader and copy the address of the story you want from dokuga.com.
A Dokuga story address looks like this:
http://www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/1234/1Paste the address into WP Downloader. It will detect Dokuga and download the whole story, even if the link points to a particular chapter.
WP Downloader only downloads complete stories from Dokuga. It does not download individual chapters or story lists. To get chapters published after your download, paste the story link into WP Downloader again and create a new file. It cannot update an existing EPUB.
Choose a file format
EPUB is a simple choice for Android because apps such as Google Play Books and Moon+ Reader can open it. EPUB downloads are free for everyone.
WP Downloader can also create a PDF with a free Discord sign-in. Google Play Books accepts both EPUB and PDF files, though EPUB is usually easier to read in an e-book app.
You can choose whether to include the story’s images in the downloaded book.
Sign in for members-only stories
Signing in to your Dokuga account is optional. It is only needed when you want to download a members-only story that your account can already read.
WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you request. It cannot bypass access restrictions or download anything unavailable to your account.

Open the EPUB on your Android device
After the download finishes, find the EPUB file on your Android phone or tablet and open it in an app that supports EPUB files.
Two options are:
- Google Play Books, which accepts uploaded EPUB and PDF files and lets you read them on Android, iPhone, iPad, or the web.
- Moon+ Reader, which opens EPUB files on Android and has a built-in text-to-speech mode.
Read with Google Play Books
To add the story to Google Play Books, upload the EPUB through the Play Books website from your computer or Google Drive. You can also upload it through the Play Books Android app.
Once the upload is complete, open Google Play Books on your Android phone or tablet and select the story from your uploaded books.
Very large stories can reach Google’s upload size limit. If that happens, open the EPUB directly in another Android reader such as Moon+ Reader.
Listen to the story on Android
Android has several ways to read an EPUB aloud.
Moon+ Reader has a built-in text-to-speech mode. Open the downloaded Dokuga EPUB in the app, then start its read-aloud mode.
@Voice Aloud Reader can also read EPUB files aloud on Android.
You can also use Android’s Select to Speak accessibility feature. Turn it on under Settings, then Accessibility, and tap items on the screen to hear them read.
All of these options use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device. How natural the reading sounds depends on the voices available on your phone or tablet.
Keep your offline copy current
The downloaded EPUB contains the story as it was when you created the file. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have.
When the author publishes another chapter, paste the story link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy. Open the new EPUB in your preferred Android reading app.
