How to Read Dokuga Stories on a Barnes & Noble NOOK
To read a Dokuga story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. Barnes & Noble calls this “sideloading.” WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
What you need
Have these ready:
- The Dokuga story’s URL
- A computer
- Your NOOK GlowLight and its USB cable
- An internet connection to download the story
A Dokuga story link looks like this:
http://www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/1234/1WP Downloader downloads the complete story. It cannot download a single Dokuga chapter or a list.
Step 1: Download the Dokuga story as an EPUB
Open the Dokuga downloader and paste the story URL into the box. WP Downloader recognizes the dokuga.com link and prepares the story for download.
Choose EPUB as the format. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and EPUB is the format used in these NOOK instructions. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
You can choose whether to include the story’s images. When the EPUB is ready, save it somewhere easy to find on your computer.
You do not need to sign in for a public story. If a story is available only to Dokuga members, you can sign in with your Dokuga account to reach it. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It can download only material that your account is allowed to read and does not bypass access restrictions.

Step 2: Connect your NOOK to the computer
Connect your NOOK GlowLight to the computer with its USB cable. It will appear as a drive named NOOK.
On newer models, enable file transfers after connecting the cable:
- Swipe down from the top of the NOOK’s screen.
- Tap USB for charging.
- Choose Transfer files (MTP).
Your computer can then access the NOOK.
Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your NOOK
Open the NOOK drive on your computer. Find the Dokuga EPUB you downloaded and drag it onto the drive.
Wait for the file to finish copying. Eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging the USB cable. The story will then be available on the device for offline reading.
When the author publishes new chapters, download the story again to get them. WP Downloader creates a new EPUB instead of updating the file already on your NOOK.
