How to Read JoyRead Stories in Google Play Books

You can read a JoyRead story in Google Play Books by downloading it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader, then uploading the file to Play Books. The uploaded book can be read on the web, Android, iPhone, or iPad.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in.

Upload the story to Google Play Books

Google Play Books accepts personal EPUB and PDF files without DRM. You can upload the JoyRead download through the Play Books website or its Android app.

Upload from a computer

If the file is on your computer:

Open the Google Play Books website and sign in to your Google account.
Use the upload option.
Select the EPUB or PDF from your computer or Google Drive.
Wait for the upload to finish.

The story will appear in your Play Books library after it has been processed. You can then read it in your browser or in the Play Books mobile app.

Upload from an Android phone or tablet

If you downloaded the file to an Android device:

Open the Google Play Books app.
Use the app’s upload option.

Open the story from your Play Books library when the upload is complete.

Read on an iPhone or iPad

Upload the EPUB or PDF through the Google Play Books website first. You can select the file from your computer or Google Drive.

After the upload finishes, open the Google Play Books app on your iPhone or iPad and sign in with the same Google account. You can then find the story in your library.

If the upload does not work

Check that the downloaded file is an EPUB or PDF. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Very large books may exceed Google’s upload size limit. If you included images, try downloading the story again without them and upload the smaller file.
