How to Read JoyRead Stories on a PocketBook E-Reader
To read a JoyRead story on a PocketBook e-reader, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and transfer the file using Send-to-PocketBook or a USB cable. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Download a JoyRead story with WP Downloader
Open the JoyRead downloader in a browser on your phone or computer. Copy the address of the story from joyread.com. A JoyRead story link looks like this:
https://www.joyread.com/15233-Dink-Husbands-Twin-SecretPaste the link into WP Downloader and follow the prompts. The tool recognizes the JoyRead link and downloads the whole story.
You can choose from two formats:
- EPUB is free for everyone and works on PocketBook e-readers.
- PDF also works on PocketBook, but it requires a free Discord sign-in.
You can choose whether to include the story’s images. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. PocketBook reads EPUB and PDF, so you do not need those other formats.

What the download includes
WP Downloader downloads whole JoyRead stories, not individual chapters or lists. If the story gets new chapters later, download it again to create an updated file. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB.
Signing in with your JoyRead account is optional. It lets WP Downloader reach members-only stories that your account can read. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.
WP Downloader includes only the chapters your account can already access. Paid or locked chapters are left out unless your account can read them.
Send the file to PocketBook by email
Send-to-PocketBook gives your e-reader its own email address. Once you set it up, you can email the downloaded EPUB or PDF to the device.
On your PocketBook:
- Open Settings.
- Choose Accounts and synchronization.
- Select Send-to-PocketBook.
- Sign in and complete the activation steps.
- Check your email for the activation message.
After activation, you will receive a personal address ending in @pbsync.com. Attach the JoyRead EPUB or PDF to an email and send it to that address, then sync your PocketBook to receive the file.
If the book does not arrive, check whether your regular sending address is on the approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist the address before accepting its attachments. Once the address is approved, send the file again and sync the reader.
Copy the story with a USB cable
You can also transfer the story over USB.
Download the JoyRead story to your computer, then connect the PocketBook with a USB cable. Copy the EPUB or PDF file to the reader. When the transfer is complete, disconnect the device and open the story from your PocketBook library.
USB also lets you copy several downloaded stories from your computer at once.
Choose a file format
EPUB is available to everyone through WP Downloader and works on PocketBook e-readers.
You can also use PDF if you prefer that format. Creating a PDF with WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in.
Keep the downloaded file somewhere easy to find. For Send-to-PocketBook, attach the file to an email. For USB, copy the same file to the reader.
