How to Read stck.me Stories on Android

To read a stck.me story on an Android phone or tablet, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and open the file in a compatible reading app. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install it.

Each stck.me author has their own site. Story links look like this:

1. Open the stck.me downloader in your browser.
2. Paste the story URL into the box.
3. Sign in with your stck.me account when prompted.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the file to your Android phone or tablet.

EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader uses your stck.me account only to fetch the story you request. It downloads chapters that your account can already read. Paid or follower-only chapters that are unavailable to your account remain locked and appear as notices in the book. WP Downloader does not buy, follow, or unlock anything.

Choose between EPUB and PDF

EPUB works well for stories because the text adjusts to fit your screen. PDF keeps a fixed page layout.

Google Play Books accepts DRM-free EPUB and PDF files, so either format will work there. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Open the story in Google Play Books

Google Play Books lets you upload your own DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. Once uploaded, you can read them on Android, the web, or an iPhone or iPad.

Upload from your Android device

1. Download the EPUB or PDF from WP Downloader.
2. Open the Google Play Books app.
3. Use its upload option to add the file.
4. Open the uploaded book.

Upload through the Play Books website

You can upload the file on the Play Books website from your computer or Google Drive. After adding it, open Google Play Books on your Android phone or tablet and select the story.

Very large files may reach Google’s upload size limit. If that happens, open the EPUB in another compatible Android reader.

Use another Android reading app

Moon+ Reader also opens EPUB files on Android. After downloading the EPUB, find it on your device and open it with Moon+ Reader. Its location depends on your browser and device, but browsers normally save files in their downloads folder.

To get newly available chapters later, return to WP Downloader and download the story again. WPD cannot update an EPUB already stored on your device.

Listen with Android text to speech

Android’s Select to Speak can read items on the screen aloud. Turn it on under Settings, then Accessibility, and tap the items you want to hear.

You can also use an EPUB app with a read-aloud option:

• Moon+ Reader has a built-in text-to-speech mode.
• @Voice Aloud Reader reads EPUB files aloud.

Both use the text-to-speech voices installed on your Android device, so the available voices determine how natural the narration sounds.

Do I need to install WP Downloader?

No. WP Downloader runs in your browser. You only need a compatible app to open the EPUB or PDF afterward.

Do I need a stck.me account?

Yes. You must sign in with your stck.me account so WP Downloader can retrieve the chapters that account is allowed to read.

Can WP Downloader unlock paid or follower-only chapters?

No. It downloads only content your account can already access. Unavailable chapters stay locked and appear as notices in the book.

Can I add new chapters to an EPUB I already downloaded?

No. WP Downloader cannot update an existing EPUB. Download the story again to get any newly available chapters.
